Our house is sold! We signed yesterday and today it was recorded by the state. We’ve closed a chapter of our lives and can finally move on. A picture from my father’s Antarctica trip a month ago shows a sunset as his ship cruises on and explains some of the feelings we’ve been experiencing these last few weeks.
Yesterday I took the day off work to go to the house for one final push to get stuff thrown out. We took out the air conditioner, the shelves, and all the junk in the garage and ran the junk to the dump. It’s amazing how cheap it is to dump so much trash. $10.36. Anyway, we took the AC to Crystal’s dad’s home and are storing it there. We walked through our old house one last time. Henry said bye bye house, we locked the doors, and drove off for the last time.
