Ok people, before I go and start talking about my day please visit my files section and watch “YMCA feat. Adolf Hitler” or click here. Quite possibly one of the funniest things I have seen this year.
So we’ve all been really sick this week. My wife has a serious cold. It may be strep. We’re not sure but I am trying to convince her to go see a doctor. We’ve been going online and looking at replacing our Ford Taurus with a mid sized SUV. We like the Hyundai “Sante Fe” 3.5 and the Acura “MDX”. We’ll have to shop around and see what available. We’ve always planned on trading in the Taurus as soon as we paid down the loan right side up and that point is quickly approaching.
I on the other hand have been salivating over the Dodge Charger R/T. Complete with a Hemi 6.1 litre engine, it outputs 425 horsepower. I will wait some time but I suppose I am surprised that I don’t mind American cars as much as I have in the past. I enjoy the room inside them and the less expensive maintenance costs.
I have to admit I have been a little frustrated with Comcast lately and their internet service. Sure I have 6 Mbps down and 768 kbps up, but as an online gamer latency determines a lot. Recently (4-5 weeks now) my pings have risen from in between the mid 20′s and 70′s to well over 100 ms. During certain hours of the day, my pings to Google will jump as high as 800 ms and all Counter-Strike pings are now 100 ms minimum but often I can bounce up to 300 often.
It has been really irratating. Its made my gaming experience shit. Yes, my download speeds are amazing. That adds to the frustration actually. Their support staff don’t care about ping or latency. As long as all the neighborhood shell out $50+ a month to be able to download websites and share files quickly, who cares? They’ve oversold their nodes and its happening everywhere.
I called Qwest and inquired about DSL. I am gonna have them side by side for a couple months and see if I see any difference. I may end up moving over to DSL. We’ll see.
UPDATE: I have removed the file to free up space.
